BGS is a national Gestalt organisation for all Gestaltists and is independent of training institutes, accrediting bodies and registering authorities.

BGS provides the opportunity for those who are enthusiastic about and inspired by Gestalt to be involved, and to network with like minded others. To this end we host low cost Gestalt workshops and events throughout the year.

BGS puts on a biennial conference in the UK. These conferences are exciting events. They provide an arena for Gestaltists to meet in an environment that fosters communication, experiential and academic learning, and are an opportunity to experience the wide range of Gestalt work in this country and abroad.

BGS publishes a broadsheet and newsletter which offer the opportunity for Gestalt writers to be published and which inform members of Gestalt events and BGS news.

BGS holds a list of Gestalt practitioners and training organisations

BGS has a representative on the board of the European Association for Gestalt Therapy (EAGT) and the United Kingdom Association for Gestalt Therapy (UKAGT) We also have a representative from the Association for the Advancement of Gestalt Therapy (AAGT)
